Plan your year.

Happy New Year!— out with the old (2018) and in with the new (2019). It’s a brand new year, and many consider this prime time for goal-setting and new year’s resolutions. I have a few goal-setting traditions myself.

The Goals

Have you read the book “168 Hours” by Laura Vanderkam? I absolutely love this book, which focuses on reorganizing and prioritizing our time around the 168 hours we have each week. I LOVE to make a list of everything I’d like to do in my lifetime— yes, before I die. It puts life and the day-to-day in an awesome perspective of what truly matters. Every year, I do the List of 100 Dreams activity. This is a completely unedited list of anything you might want to do or have in life.

I also set aside time to complete the Bullish Society’s Design Your 2019 workbook.

Another activity that could be helpful is answering these three questions:

  1. If you knew you could not fail, what would you try to do?

  2. How much money do you want to make? How would that change your life? What would that amount of money do for you and what you want in life?

  3. If you could plan your life from now until your 80th birthday, what would it look like?

Remember to have fun with it! Goals should not only consist of unenjoyable tasks to complete for the year. What do you enjoy? What do you really want to accomplish in your life? this year? in the next three years?

The Plans

In order to maintain your focus and reach success, revisit these goals throughout the year. Set plans and evaluate how you’re doing. This is not the only time of year where goals cross my mind.

In fact, there are tons of planners and guides to help you stay on the right path for you.

Let’s do this!
